Mariela Aguilar Pineda
Founder, Creative Director
As a young girl, Mariela fell in love with floral design when she helped her mom Teofila with her small flower tent in town of Brookshire. As she grew up, Mariela actively sought training and education to help her mom advance in her business. A lover of plants and everything about them, Mariela graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Horticulture. While at Texas A&M she received professional instruction at the Benz School of Floral Design. Mariela loves working with clients to bring their vision to life through flowers. From conceptual planning, preparation, design and execution- she pays special attention to every detail to ensure that clients know they are taken care of at Casa De Flores. Her design skills helped her get noticed by a major television network, and in 2020 she was given the honor of being one of “America’s Top Ten Up and Coming Florists” as a contestant on HBOMax “Full Bloom" Season One.
Teofila Aguilar Pineda
lead floral designer
Teofila has always loved fresh flowers. Born in Michoacan, Mexico, she grew up in a rural ranch surrounded by lush and colorful flowering plants and trees. She started her floral career selling flowers on Mother’s Day as a street vendor. Her six young children aided her in her yearly sales, Mariela among them. Today Teofila is highly praised for her versatile floral design skills, being able to execute beautiful florals for any theme or event. Whether it be contemporary or lush garden style, you can count on Teofila to lead the team in flawlessly pulling off your vision. Every design that leaves our doors has her touch, and she is dedicated to ensuring her client’s satisfaction. Teofila’s hobbies include crocheting, sewing, crafting and cooking. She resides in Brookshire with her husband David and children.
